Zinnias Chippendale Mix can only be described as sensational!  Each bloom is different from the rest, creating a truly unique and one-of-a-kind display!  Each flower bloom will feature an array of reds, oranges and yellow!  The Zinnia Chippendale variety is more compact than other Zinnias and does not require any staking to remain upright.  Plant as a border plant in a full sun garden or in a container.  The bright colors will attract pollinators to your landscape but deer will stay away from them!  Zinnia Chippendale will bloom Summer until frost and have a slight, sweet fragrance making them ideal for a Summer cut garden bouquet!

*Will come with 4 plant start plugs with active growth for head start this season. Our annuals are ready to ship late Spring and into early Summer*

    Upon Arrival…

    • Remove your plants from all packaging and inspect the condition of the growth. If you are concerned with the condition, please email us an image within 5 days of delivery.
    • If the soil seems dry upon arrival this is okay, just make sure to give the plants a good watering!
    • The new plants will need time to acclimate before they can be replanted or moved outside. We recommend placing the plant start in a bright location inside for 1-2 days. This will help perk them up!
    • Any dried or yellow leaves should be removed prior to transplanting. Plants may appear wilted or dried out upon arrival, this is normal during the transit process due to lack of sunlight. Water as directed and place in a bright location and they will perk right up!
    • The new plant start plugs can be safely transplanted outside into the ground or containers once night time temperatures are consistently above 50 degrees.

    Planting Advice…

Planting Depth and Spacing: Dig a hole deep enough for the entire plug to fit with the top of the plant plug sitting flush with the soil line. Make sure the plug is not sticking up at all from the soil. Plants should be spaced 10-12” apart in the garden.

Planting in Pots: Choose a container with drainage holes. Use a 6-8” pot for one plant or space each plug 4-6” from the side of the pot and each other if using a larger pot.

Soil: Zinnia can adapt in a wide range of soil types. If you do have clay soil, we do recommend adding all purpose potting soil to help with drainage and aeration.

Watering: If the top inch of the soil is dry, it means it’s time to water. When plants are young, it is important to not allow them to dry out completely. Keep the soil evenly moist but not saturated.

Fertilize: We recommend using Jacks Bloom Booster Fertilizer. See package for specific instructions.

Deadheading: We recommend deadheading, or pruning, the spent blooms to help set more flower buds for a longer blooming season.

Over Winter: Zinnias are meant to be grown as an annual and cannot handle freezing temperatures. If planted in zones 8 or below, after the first hard frost, Zinnia can be removed from the garden bed or container and discarded.  If planted in zones 9-11, Zinnias can remain in the ground or container and will continue blooming throughout the Winter months.
