Dutch Iris

Plant Dutch Iris bulbs in fall for blooms in early and late spring. Dwarf Dutch Iris bloom in early spring at the same time crocus bloom. Tall Dutch Iris bloom in mid to late spring when the allium and late blooming tulips are blooming. Dutch Iris are different from Bearded Iris or Siberian Iris, in that they grow from a true bulb as opposed to a rhizome or root.

For the best results plant Dutch Iris in well drained soil with full sun to partial shade. Dwarf Dutch Iris are low growing spring blooming bulbs, at least 25 bulbs per planting area is needed to make them stand out. Tall Dutch Iris are showy, and stand out in the late spring garden.
