The Double Purple Clematis, most commonly as Clematis viticella 'Purpurea Plena Elegans', is a stunning double flowering clematis blooming in mid and late Summer! This variety produces plenty small mum-like blooms that are 2-3" diameter in a beautiful dusty purple-red color! The vines of this clematis will often be covered in the beautiful double blooms. Like most clematis, this variety does exceptionally well when trained to climb up a support structure but can also work well as ground cover!
