Extravagant royal blue blooms adorn this clematis two times per year. Not only will you get double the blooms you will also get double the petals, as this admirable bloomer has ever changing blooms with a grouping of smaller petals near the center and silvery stamens that accent the beauty of this vine. Mulit-Blue Clematis will blooms once in May and June, and then repeat it's blooms towards the end of Summer in August through October.
This re-blooming blue clematis should be pruned in late Winter or Early Spring. Remove any unwanted or dead growth first, and then cut the remainder of the vine back to 6-9" inches, making sure to leave a few strong buds in place.
Pruning Group B. Prune out weak/broken stems in late Winter/early Spring.
