Alexanders Great Brunnera

I gave the Great Alexander's brunnera to my daughter as a gift and it grew well after it was planted.

The first year it put a lot of energy into roots, so the leaves stayed small and there were only a handful of them. The second year is much more impressive! Tons of growth, larger leaves, and adorable little blue flowers. This is my new darling of the shade garden.

Very pleased with how these are starting. Hoping time will make them awesome!

I purchased two of these and planted both in pots a couple of days after receiving them. Both sprouted, but one quickly died. Two months later, I planted the living Brunnera in my shade garden. After a month in the garden, the plant is still small (4 inches tall) but has pretty leaves. Holland Bulb did give me a credit towards a future purchase for the one plant that did not survive.

I couldn't wait to purchase this product. I haven't seen growth above ground yet, but I think I will any day now. The root came delicate packaged as it is a very tender root. It is obvious that this product was shipped with care.
