Hosta are grown for their foliage and add color all summer long to shaded garden spots. 

Astilbe require  moisture to grow successfully, be sure to keep them moist during the growing season. Hosta grow best in well drained soil in a full to part shade location. Columbine require well drained soil and do best in part shade.
