Grow this dazzling beauty indoors in pots for a flush of bright pink blooms. This floriferous amaryllis boasts of 4-6 blooms per stem. Each bloom can be 5-7" in diameter for a stunning display of pink blooms with white stripes in the center; it reminds us of a starburst! Amaryllis are easy-to-grow indoor flower bulbs that grow in most light settings and aren't picky about their water demands.
Your amaryllis bulbs will bloom again and again, provided they are properly cared for. After the bulb finishes blooming, cut off the flower stalk close to the base. Keep the plant moist and add houseplant fertilizer. Stop watering in August, and allow the plant to dry out completely in the sun. In early fall, remove and clean the bulbs of old scales and dead foliage. Roots should be fleshy and not damaged. You can repot when you are ready to restart the process.
