Ostrich Ferns are one of the largest and most popular fern varieties available! Resembling ostrich feathers, the plumes will generally reach up to 4' tall but can reach heights of 6' tall in the perfect growing conditions. Like most ferns, Ostrich ferns need moist soil and shady conditions to thrive. Once established, Ostrich ferns naturalize easily and will spread to fill in under the cover of trees. Ferns work well planted in masses to help add depth and texture to a shady garden.
