and a layer of decorative moss. Depending on the types and varieties of

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS FOR BULB GARDENS CONTAINING AMARYLLIS
This bulb garden has been enhanced with the addition of amaryllis. The spring bulbs within are rooted and have seen a cold period similar to northern winters which is necessary for successful blooming. The amaryllis also included was added just prior to shipping because this type of temperate bulb does not require rooting and cold treatments to bloom. Depending on the style of garden you received there
may be one to three amaryllis bulbs.
Keep pot moist but not overly saturated. Bright light or full sun in an average home temperature environment of 65°-75°F is best.
As stems grow turn the pot slightly each day to keep the foliage and blooms upright and from leaning toward the strongest light source.
Note: If your garden came with a decorative container be aware that it may not be waterproof. Please be sure to place it on a water resistant surface.
TO SAVE BULBS FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR
[Post Bloom suggestions]
Amaryllis Component:
Remove the bulb from your mixed garden, and plant in a pot with commercial houseplant soil. Grow indoors and continue watering and fertilizing with a liquid plant food, encouraging the leaves to grow, mature and finally expire.
Give a long resting period and completely withhold water. Months later the bulb will develop its natural perennial growth cycle and watering can begin again. Amaryllis can be planted in the garden in zones 8-11 or placed outdoors, potted, during the summer months in all zones.
Spring Bulb Component:
Forcing spring bulbs in a home environment can deplete a great deal of their energy. Bulbs can be replanted outdoors in a sunny location with compost rich soil. The bulbs may take a couple of years to rejuvenate. Zones 3-8 only.
