Gracillimus Miscanthus also known as Japanese Silver Grass is a popular ornamental grass. Adding some height to your perennial beds and borders with this upright grass that can reach heights of 7' tall in the correct conditions.
You will enjoy the silver streak down the center of the leaves, and the arching but upright habit of this ornamental grass. In late Summer silvery flower tassels form adding to it's appeal. Fall color is often a golden yellow to straw color. Leave the leaves and blooms up in winter to attract birds and for winter interest. In Spring cut back the foliage of this grass to about 3" above ground.
