Just imagine: cool, silver-blue foliage intermixed with stunning bronze and adorned with golden and rosy-pink flowers. What a delightful pairing! The Fire and Ice Sedum Duo includes a Blue Spruce sedum and Bronze Carpet Sedum in grower pots. Both of these creeping sedum varieties are hardy in zones 4-8, so they’ll thrive in most regions of the US! These deer resistant plants grow best in full sun locations and are perfect for your rock garden. They are drought tolerant too, though will want to be watered regularly during their first season while they get established.
Sedum spurium ‘Bronze Carpet’ will grow to 4-6” at maturity and can reach up to 24” wide. It has thick, flattened leaves like a succulent that are green in the center and coppery bronze towards the edges. Small pink flowers will start to bloom in early Summer and stick around for about a month before fading.
Sedum reflexum ‘Blue Spruce’ is slightly shorter, growing to 3-5” tall and spreading up to 24” wide. It has silver, almost blue, spruce-like foliage, hence its name. Small yellow blooms adorn this plant in early Summer around the same time as the Bronze Carpet.
The Fire and Ice Sedum Duo includes the following two varieties already growing and ready to plant:
1 Bronze Carpet Sedum in a 3-4” grower pot
1 Blue Spruce Sedum in a 3-4” grower pot
