Sturdy stems with blue/green foliage create a nicely formed mounding plant perfect for border plants and rock gardens. The cherry red blooms have a spicy fragrance and attract butterflied and pollinators. To add to the appearance of this delightful little perennial, the American Pie® Cherry Dianthus is also deer resistant, drought and cold tolerant, low maintenance and have long lasting blooms perfect as cut flowers! For best results, remove spent flower blooms and stalks throughout the season to help promote reblooming in Fall. Once dormant in the Fall, Dianthus can be cut back to 1-2" above the soil level.
