Ostrich Ferns are native to Eastern America and can be found growing under trees in forest beds. They are named for the beautiful, arching plumes that resemble ostrich feathers. Ostrich ferns can reach heights of 36-48" tall and 24-36" wide. As with most ferns, Ostrich Ferns prefer being planted in shady areas in moist soil. They will easily naturalize and spread in shady, wet conditions in your garden. Ferns are the perfect way to add textural interest to a shady landscape.
