These ornamental gourds have many uses! Grow them for a fall table decoration or use them in the garden as a natural accent. Can be grown on trellises and arbors. When gourds are ripe, harvest and leave a small amount of vine.
Garden Tip: For best germination, nick the seedcoat. Soak in room temperature water for 24 hours before planting. Best to plant when soil temperature is 65 degrees of higher.
Drying Tip: Pick gourds when entire vine is dry and brown. Handle gently; turn weekly as they dry in a warm, airy place. Do not cut or decorate until completely dry and seeds rattle.
