These stunning crocus will be a ray of sunshine in the garden! The Golden Yellow Giant Crocus are jumbo bulbs imported from Holland which are quite delightful when massed in rock gardens or naturalized in lawn areas. Help brighten up the dulldrums of extremely early spring with these beauties!

    • Crocus like a sunny location, but will tolerate partial shade.
    • Crocus require well-drained soil with organic matter. Amend soil with organic matter such as compost, manure or peat humus.
    • Space your crocus 2-4” apart, or plant together in one large hole leaving a small amount of space between bulbs so they are not touching.
    • Crocus don’t always have a noticeably pointed end. Plant your crocus 2-3” deep, with the flattest side touching the earth. If you are unsure which side is up, plant the crocus corms on their side, they will straighten out to find the sun.
    • Fertilize at planting with Hi Yield Bulb Food or for organic gardening use Bulb-Tone. Apply fertilizer at least 2” below the bottom of the bulbs so that the roots will get the most benefit from the fertilizer.
    • Water the area the crocus have been planted immediately after. Additional water in fall and winter is not necessary; bulbs prefer to be kept dry when dormant.
    • Apply a 2” layer of mulch in late fall.

Used these to make a smiley face in the lawn. It came back the 2nd year better than the first! They have successfully naturalized.

These aren't supposed to bloom first.

    Pros:
    • Multiple Blooms per Bulb
    • Handles Planting Mistakes
    Cons:
    • Package only has product number on it
I have had Crocus in the past, they were just a cheap mix bag that that had no way to tell what color was what. 95% purple, 4% yellow, and a single one turned out white.
Purple always comes first, then yellow and as the purple fades out, the white one shows up. This time I planted the three main solid colors, but my purple ones didn't come up like my old ones did. Instead, this yellow bloomed first, but the others did eventually come up and bloom. I figure out, I planted them the same depth as Tulips and Hyacinths so because they were deeper, they grew differently. White came second, and purple bloomed last, and I have right now, all three colors blooming together. Some yellow are still yet to bloom but they probably will. The one noteworthy exception about the yellow is how almost all of them have two to four sprouts and flowers, which is a bonus.
The only con I have is that the packaging has difficult to see information and only the product number, no color, nothing else. I got multiple packs so it was important to me to know what was what while I was planting, so I had to create a workaround to get my planting plan to work correctly.
