Priced really good for some great bulbs
I received my saffron crocus bulbs and forgot about them for a week or so. Ooops! Starting to get really cold, so I planted them a little deeper than I would have, on November 15. Well, about December 2nd or 3rd, we got a blast of really warm (70's!) weather and I started cleaning up the grounds. As I moved some leaves, I noticed shoots coming up from the crocuses; they were about 3 inches tall. I quickly covered the area again with leaves. If they bloom as well as they sprouted......woohoo! I'll let you know how they do. Here it is December, and yesterday we had 73 degrees, and today, in the upper 60s. Sub-freezing again by next Wednesday. Gotta love the Missouri weather!
these came on time and ready to go... the corms had shoots already starting since they are fall flowering these were planted outside under the cover of trees but may go into containers in the future if the weather does not cooperate
I ordered the 10 packs of saffron crocus. They came with a nice packaging. They are look healthy. I planted right after I recieved them and I can see they are all sprouting now. I can’t wait to harvest the flowers so I have to add to my delicious recipe named arroz caldo (rice chicken soup) in the Philippines.
My saffrons arrived in good condition. Bulbs looked healthy. Looking forward for the results.
