Both varieties are long lasting. The reds came out first. 2 weeks later the candy stripes started. Now that the reds are dying, the candy stripes are in full bloom.
This duo is nearly perfect but for the fact the reds open at last 1 week before the striped tulips. The velvety red is better than the photo and both have strong stems that stand up well after a hard rain. Longer lasting than most tulips. We'll see how well they come back next season (planted Fall 2021).
These grew beautifully, and have a striking look when grown in groupings. Loved the way these look planted in front of our evergreens. Would highly recommend if looking for a red tulip with some distinction.
I planted these healthy big bulbs in a pot out by the sidewalk. Everyone that walks by comments on how lovely they are. And they are very lovely!!! I surrounded it with grape hyacinth and it's such a beautiful pot of flowers! I am so glad I ordered these!
These candy stripes have me resisting the urge to take a bite , gorgeous
