Such a cute plant! It arrived in good condition and a week or two later it is already looking nice!

I ordered two Blue Mouse Ears hostas, which arrived as healthy-looking bare roots. A month after being planted, one appears to still be dormant and the other has a couple of cute leaves which are true to the variety's size and color. They were planted in the same location as other hostas from Holland Bulb Farms which are thriving. I suspect the Mouse Ears just need more time to get established than larger varieties.

Cons:
All the hosta I planted this past year, including these, seem to be taking some extra time to get established. In the first year they put out a couple leaves and that's it. They didn't die but they didn't get any bigger. I'm being patient and hoping they were busy sending out roots to grow bigger leaves next year.

Pros:
  • small as opposed to regular hostas
Cons:
The ones I received came in healthy but one bag was completely missing the root. With that being said, customer service took care of it immediately and sent me a replacement one out. They have been planted and are doing well. The leaves are a very beautiful color.
