Hello spring!

Pros:
  • all sprouted
Cons:
  • Not the color pictured
We had such a wet spring, I didn't expect these to make it. But they did and they were gorgeous. Not blue like in the picture, they're actually a light violet. I was expecting blue and that was disappointing but they're pretty enough. I dug them up from the temporary home to replant in my rock garden (which my brain thought I'd actually have done by fall last year, LOL) and almost every bulb is now two!

I enjoyed how early these bloomed. We had winter and spring weather that caused many of my 'faithfuls' to die, and reticulata rot easily. But they bloomed very early. I was a little disappointed that they were more violet than blue, but still pretty. When I dug them to move them to my rock garden (that my brain thought I would have done last year) most bulbs were still viable, and many had increased.

The iris came in very large and healthy. They were easy to pick apart and plant. They should look lovely in the Spring.
