If you've dreamed of growing beautiful, fragrant Jasmine in cooler climates, look no further than our Winter Hardy Jasmine Duo! This duo includes a Jasmine Officinale and a Jasmine Nudiforum already established in a grower pot and hardy up to zone 7, zone 6 with some protection. Both varieties do best as vining plants and will need to be on a trellis for best results. Jasmine Officinale is the common, very fragrant white blooms during the Summer months while Jasmine Nudiforum has bright yellow blooms during the Winter months.
Jasmine Officinale can grow up to 15-25' as a vine and will grow best in full sun to part shade and well drained soil. Pruning will vary depending on what zone these are planted in. In zones 7 and below, it's best to prune back to 1-2" from the surface of the soil before frost. Provide protection with mulch or leaves to the crown over the Winter months for added protection. In zones 8 and above, it's best to prune back in late Winter, before it starts growing new shoots in the Spring.
Jasmine Nudiforum is very unique in that it blooms November through March, providing much needed color during the Winter months! This variety does best as a vine but can also be left as an arching shrub that would work well as a groundcover. This variety does best in partial sun during the hot Summer months but full sun during the Winter for prolific blooms. The best time to prune Jasmine Nudiforum is in late Spring after blooms have ended.
